Ryan Hansford has finished 2nd overall and 1st in the Pro Masters class in this years Touring Car Masters Championship.

Ryan Hansford and the Multispares Racing team will compete at The Bend Motorsport Park for the final round of the 2024 Touring Car Masters series on November 23/24

TCM will be the major support category to the 777 Endurance Crown 4-hour race on the 7.77km GT circuit. TCM will race on the international circuit which is the same as the Supercars race on and the track where Ryan won the round in 2023. The round is part of the final SA state race series and will be live streamed.

Mixed Outcomes at Sandown
Ryan Hansford had a challenging weekend at Sandown recently. At what is considered Ryan’s bogey track, the results once again favoured the cars with bigger 6-litre engines throughout the weekend.

In addition, the tall kerbs in the esses, where Ryan usually makes up lap time, caused problems when the right front mudguard mount broke. Ryan was black-flagged due to concerns that the guard might fly off into the large crowd attending the Sandown 500 Supercars race weekend.

Round 5: Horsepower Heaven
After the last round at Sydney Motorsport Park, where Ryan won the round, the team has been busy building a new engine. After winning Race 1 and Race 2, Ryan was also leading Race 3 when he lost power steering early in the race. What Ryan didn’t realise was that the power steering issue also affected the water pump belt. Ryan Hansford has taken overall honours in round 4 of the 2024 Touring Car Master series in his Multispares Torana.

Ryan won two races in what the publication, Auto Action called it the “best ever” TCM round.

Ryan took the win in the Pro Masters class and equal first in the outright battle with Mustang driver Jamie Tilley. After dropping a few spots after Darwin, Ryan is now 3rd overall, 5 points behind Tilley and only 43 points behind Adam Garwood after Ryan closed the gap by 35 points at Sydney Motorsport Park.

Ryan Hansford arrived in Darwin with a spring in his step after unlocking more speed in Perth with a change in the brand of front brake rotors.

Ryan won race 1 and was brilliant under brakes.

He felt confident coming to Hidden Valley with 3 of the passing spots under brakes.

Practice started as it did in Perth when Ryan was the fastest.

Hidden Valley would be tougher to win as it has a 1.1km long straight, like so many of the tracks we visit, it gives the 6-litre TCM cars a slight advantage.

Victory at Wanneroo Park

Round 2 of the 2024 Touring Car Masters championship was recently held in Perth at Carco.com.au Raceway.

Ryan arrived in Perth 6th in the points after a delaminated tyre in round 1 resulted in a finish outside the top 10. With the tread missing, Ryan limped the Torana across the finish line, earning some points.

This was Ryan’s first visit to the Wanneroo Park layout in a TCM car, having previously raced there four times in a V8 Ute.

Returning to Perth

The 2024 Touring Car Masters series heads to Perth for round 2 on May 17-19. Carco Raceway as it is currently known will host the Perth Super Night round which will be shown live on Fox Sports and Kayo. The last time Ryan raced here was in 2015 in his Multispares V8 Ute as part of the Australian V8 Ute series. Ryan qualified 3rd and finished 6 th after some typical epic battles.
