Ryan Hansford, and the Multispares Torana are heading to Bathurst next week for round 5 of the 2022 Touring Car Masters series.
For the first time this season Ryan is leading by a slender 5 points over fellow Torana driver and 6 time TCM champion John Bowe.
The Mt Panorama track, like Sandown, suits the big horse power 6 Litre Mustangs and Camaro’s however Ryan loves Bathurst and is always the quickest across the top of the mountain. Like in early 2021 when he won Race 3, he just needs to be at the front going up the mountain then build a big enough gap across the top so they don’t pass him down the long conrod straight.
The Bathurst International meeting on November 11, 12 & 13 will have some international drivers coming to race in the TCR (Touring Car Racing) and S5000 (Australia’s premier open wheeler series) along with TCM, Trans Am, Porsche Challenge, GT cars and Australian production cars.
All the action will be shown live on Stan Sport with selected races on 9Gem and replays on 9 Gem the following week. Check your local TV guide.
Friday will see Ryan on track for practice and qualifying. Saturday will have the reverse grid “trophy race” in the morning followed by Race 1 at 5pm AEDT. Sunday will have race 2 at 8.45am and race 3 at 2.05pm AEDT.
- Ryan Hansford 567 pts
