Properly damped, modern air suspension systems reduce shock loads and improve load distribution between axles. This reduces vehicle wear and tear but also significantly reduces road damage. For this reason higher gross mass limits are only available for vehicles running air suspension and the majority of heavy vehicles are now delivered with this specification. In order for air suspensions to retain their reduced shock, road friendly function the shock absorbers must be maintained in good working order and, given there has been a substantial reduction in the price of high quality shock absorbers, it pays to replace them regularly.
Our air springs are manufactured with certified Kraiburg rubber products for longer life and protection against deterioration from chemical attack. Every air spring design undergoes a minimum 2 million cycle test at 7 bar and there is 100% leakage testing in production.
